Mike Anthony
Mike Anthony started Anthony Law in 2001 to provide a tailored, personalized practice that meets the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. Today, Anthony Law represents hundreds of businesses and entrepreneurs in dozens of industries, including information and technology, advertising, construction and renovation, healthcare, restaurants, and retail sales.
Mike believes entrepreneurs serve as the engine of the economy by creating jobs and opportunities for themselves and others. As a result, Mike has a passion for entrepreneurship, start-up ventures, and those risking it all to make the economic pie larger for everyone.
Mike’s decades of experience in litigation and transactional matters have taught him to understand the risks and compliance issues that growing businesses face. His advice is practical, and his number-one goal is to protect entrepreneurs and their businesses. Mike is a problem solver who works best when the tensions are high and the issues are complicated.
Mike is married and lives in Genoa Township. He enjoys tennis, golf, reading, and working on his yard with his wife, Julie.

• Won largest jury award verdict in Franklin County in 2014 in construction litigation; obtained jury verdict in excess of $1.5 million
• Represented client in the healthcare industry before the Department of Medicaid in a license termination case
• Represented a corporate executive in defense of claims for sexual harassment; case dismissed
• Reorganized capital structure for a service company that grosses in excess of $40,000,000/year in revenue, including the creation of class A and class B Units
• Drafted the asset and real estate purchase contracts for the fastest-growing trampoline park operator in Ohio, including multiple purchases of facilities exceeding 30,000 sq. ft. throughout the United States
• Negotiated and drafted the largest Central Ohio lease transaction of 2016, a commercial lease agreement for a rapidly expanding information technology company with tenant build-out costs of over $2,000,000 and gross rents throughout the term of the agreement in excess of $10,000,000
• Established employment policies and procedures for a business with 250+ employees, including establishing background check policies for new hires, editing the employee handbook, and creating confidentiality, non-competition, and non-solicitation policies
• Drafted business contracts for a top pet retailer in the United States, including warranty and other provisions associated with consumer transactions
• Drafted and negotiated construction-related agreements for one of the largest home improvement companies in Central Ohio
• Reorganized payroll service company and converted company debt into preferred equity for financing purposes
• Negotiated the purchase of equity interests totaling more than $500,000 on behalf of a medical professional and reorganized their corporate paperwork associated with right of first refusal, death, and disability
• Drafted and negotiated a $4,000,000+ real estate purchase contract associated with an apartment complex
